Rebrand positions Arkance Group’s IP-development unit to leverage broader process-improvement vision and expertise.
Agacad, best-known as a maker of specialized software for building information modeling (BIM), today announced a major broadening of its brand and ambitions. The Lithuanian company, which already has a global client base and is part of the Arkance Group, will now focus on delivering full solutions for responsible process innovation in a range of industries.
Agacad made its updated brand public with a new logo and visual identity, a new website, and the new slogan ‘Enabling Innovations Together’.
“As construction converges with manufacturing and other industries, and as AI, virtual reality, and other new technologies come into play, our previous focus on ‘Building BIM Together’ was too limiting. We aim to provide our clients with not just IT systems but also the holistic vision and expert assistance they need for relentless process improvement. To deliver responsible value with agility in a fast-changing world,” says Donatas Aksomitas, the Managing Director of Agacad.
Agacad, whose software is used by over 13,000 architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) professionals in 130 countries, was acquired in 2021 by the Arkance Group. Since then, Agacad has doubled its team of developers and application engineers. Earlier this year it also made its own acquisition of SBS Group, a smaller developer of software for construction and engineering.
France-based Arkance Group has become a major player in the digital transformation of construction and manufacturing with a large and fast-growing network of software resellers and consultants all around the world. Arkance invested in Agacad as an engine of proprietary technology for sale alongside the products of partners like Autodesk and Trimble, and to add further value for clients of all platforms through consulting and custom development.
