PRESS RELEASE – Vilnius, 4 February 2020
We are pleased to announce that our Wood Framing BIM Solution for Revit has been recognized as an AEC Industry Partner solution by Autodesk. It joins our Precast Concrete software, which made us one of the first AEC Industry Partners back in October 2018.
“This is recognition of the value that our add-on solutions provide – the time, money and stress that they save – for Revit users all over the world by automating much of their work and adding powerful new functionality for specific industries, regions and firms. We look forward to engaging even more with Autodesk to address the ever-evolving real-life needs of BIM professionals,” says Donatas Aksomitas, the CEO of AGACAD.
AEC Industry Partners are trusted technology providers that Autodesk selects for their discipline-specific solutions which complement its own offerings. Partners build on top of Autodesk’s BIM and cloud platforms to enable customers to work more efficiently, deliver better designs, and reduce waste. The designation of AEC Industry Partners is part of a strategy for bringing new and transformational technologies into industry workflows.
“We see partners like AGACAD as being critical to helping our engineering customers deliver BIM-based services in a more profitable way. They are able to provide the needed automation and customization for factories to scale up their businesses more quickly,” said Michael Gustafson, Autodesk’s Industry Strategy Manager for Structural Engineering.
“As project complexity increases and project teams become more geographically dispersed, structural professionals must collaborate in new, more innovative ways. With AGACAD developing solutions on top of Revit, they are enabling our customers to use BIM as an engineering and collaboration platform and not just a modelling and documentation tool,” Gustafson noted.
Our Wood Framing software featured by Autodesk automates the design-to-detail process for timber-framed floors, walls, and roofs, with integrated structural analysis, estimation, documentation, shop deliverables, and export to CAD/CAM production. It also includes advanced solutions for the specialized workflows that are part of SIP, CLT, and heavy timber design.
Architects and structural engineers both benefit from the Wood Framing suite. It lets architects make key project decisions easily and early, and it automates time-consuming processes for structural engineers, from building up a model to generating shop tickets and exporting to CNC.
As framing continues to play a major role in construction and as more of the industry adopts BIM, our timber framing software makes it possible for designers to dramatically reduce costs and improve quality in framed construction. And our active ongoing development of the software means that it stays in sync with the latest technologies and ahead of industry trends.
