We offer all training, consulting and demos online, with the GoToMeeting platform, and also consult by phone and email, drawing on how other companies have solved design challenges like yours.

For more details, get in touch:

As for our LIVE WEBINARS, in April-May our in-house Revit experts will present best practices for:

  • Prefabricated concrete buildings in Revit (new features for Wall/Beam Reinforcement)
  • Precast Parking Garages (special workflow)
  • Complex Roof Truss systems in Revit
  • Complex multilayer timber/ light-gauge steel walls in Revit
  • Openings for MEP services and building structures in Revit
  • Revit family parameter management & browsing
  • Curtain walls & panels in Revit

29 years of delivering tomorrow’s AEC

February 1, 2020 marks 29 years that we’ve been creating and delivering tomorrow’s AEC. We’ve come a long way in that time, thanks to the vision of our founder Gintaris Aksomitas, our outstanding team of Revit and BIM professionals who continue to make his vision a reality, and you, our software users all around the world, who put our tools to use and have contributed ideas for further improvement. THANK YOU for sticking with us and for trusting us to deliver. You can count on us to keep sharing BIM advances and building BIM together.

Our current R&D focus is “∞D BIM” and buildings with artificial intelligence – an unavoidable part of the future of AEC. CEO Donatas Aksomitas has begun examining key related issues for effective BIM data management and exchange on his new blog BIMAXON. We invite you to check it out.

We also thank our trial users, webinar participants, and followers on social media. We hope many more of you will join in!

A Christmas wish focused on the needs of others

Dear Clients, Colleagues, Friends and Followers,

Going beyond what’s required to provide for the needs of others is a part of the holiday spirit. Feeling responsible for more than just your own current needs is also vital to getting all the benefits of BIM.

In short, caring for others is also relevant here, just as it is in families, friendships and communities.

“Collaboration” is the term that’s usually used. Doing your best to provide for the information needs of later BIM process participants. Builders, designers/consultants, contractors, property managers. When each maximally contributes their own quality information, we’re on the path to a realistic digital twin.

Only a precisely detailed digital twin like that creates value in use. And only when a BIM model is in use, adding value to a building’s life, can you say BIM is fully at work. That’s why our holiday wish for you and all the BIM industry is to care about others and do your best at every stage to provide for their needs.

A lot depends on you.

For our part, we will continue working to help you do that. Ever more easily, more efficiently and better.

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2020 to all!

Sincerely,

The AGACAD team

Feb-Mar 2019 Newsletter

Check out the Feb-Mar 2019 issue of our AGACAD Advances newsletter!

AGACAD’s recent 28th birthday party was brief. The team met in the lobby for a toast to our clients and partners worldwide, then got back to building even better digital construction solutions. Delivering tomorrow’s AEC. We hope you enjoy this update you on where we and BIM are going.

There’s news about our framing, MEP and detailing software. And what’s really hot these days is precast concrete. We’re on our way to brief industry players at North America’s Precast Show 2019 – this time as an Autodesk AEC Industry Partner singled out for our precast tools for Revit.

Below you’ll find links to Dynamo scripts for #rebar in Revit, they’ll be free for existing users of our Precast Concrete software, and a whole lot more. Also, be among the first to see our brand-new showreel about design and fabrication of precast concrete. [WATCH NOW]

Warm holiday wishes for happiness and harmony

Dear Clients, Colleagues, Followers,

A good year is ending, a new one beginning, and amid the joy and peace that should dominate this season, we at AGACAD extend warm holiday wishes to all our valued clients, partners and friends.

We first wish you harmony between buildings and people. For that, after all, is the goal of all engineering efforts – not BIM, but happy people. Good fit between facilities and their users.

Next, we wish you happy equilibrium between wants and opportunities, life and goals, clearly seeing where we are now and what we’ve achieved.

Finally, and last but not least, we wish you a heart that is open and understanding… towards colleagues, customers, loved ones and yourself.

From our hearts we say Merry Christmas! Here’s to harmony in 2019!

AGACAD becomes one of Autodesk’s first AEC Industry Partners

PRESS RELEASE – Vilnius, 9 October 2018

AGACAD Ltd, a developer of industry-focused technologies for building information modelling and management, is pleased to announce that it has become one of the first Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Industry Partners of Autodesk Inc., the maker of Revit, the world’s leading software platform for BIM.

“This is new recognition of the value that AGACAD’s add-on solutions provide – the time, money and stress that they save – for Revit users all over the world by automating much of their work and adding powerful new functionality for specific industries, regions and firms. We look forward to engaging even more with Autodesk to address the ever-evolving real-life needs of BIM professionals,” says Donatas Aksomitas, the CEO of AGACAD.

“As project complexity increases and project teams become more geographically dispersed, structural professionals must collaborate in new, more innovative ways. With AGACAD developing solutions on top of Revit, they are enabling our customers to use BIM as an engineering and collaboration platform and not just a modelling and documentation tool,” says Michael Gustafson, Autodesk’s Industry Strategy Manager for Structural Engineering.

AGACAD’s Precast Concrete suite, for the detailed modelling of precast walls, floors and columns in Revit, is one of the first solutions to be featured by Autodesk under the new partnership arrangement. The package is helping to make Revit the environment of choice for BIM precast work.

“We see partners like AGACAD as being critical to helping our engineering customers deliver BIM-based services in a more profitable way. We also know that precast detailing and production are highly customized to a precast producer or factory. Partners like AGACAD are able to provide the needed automation and customization for factories to scale up their businesses more quickly,” Michael Gustafson of Autodesk says.

Likely to be featured next, Mr. Aksomitas says, is AGACAD’s comprehensive Wood Framing software, which automates the design-to-detail process for timber elements, with integrated structural analysis, estimation, documentation, shop deliverables and export to CAD/CAM production.
