Those, who follow our news, know that AGA CAD Company participated in Autodesk University Extension Dubai 2014 conference on December 17th. Our team members, who represented AGA CAD in the event, admitted that they were very impressed by the number of participants and the opportunity to communicate directly with the Middle Eastern market designers, and a very high level of event’s organization.
There were over 600 designers of various specializations, real estate project developers, business managers and project clients. The visitors, at the exhibition space, were greeted with a bunch of hardware stands – Lenovo, Canon, etc. Only Autodesk reseller Omnix and AGA CAD companies represented software developers.
Our company’s stand was the only one, which introduced BIM software applications. During the exhibition AGA CAD team was constantly interacting with stand visitors answering their questions. We are very grateful to Mr. Amal Mathew Paulose, an employee of Omnix Company that represented us in the Middle East. He helped a lot interacting with the exhibition visitors. Mr. Amal obtains excellent knowledge of AGA CAD provided products, so he introduced in detail to his fellow-countrymen all the benefits and opportunities offered to Autodesk® Revit® users by AGA CAD products.
It was very joyful to see that many of the conference participants were already familiar with our software, although it was the first time when AGA CAD applications were presented live in the Middle East. It means that Omnix Company’s specialists do an excellent job at introducing represented products.
What was the most memorable for us at this conference? During the event the most attention was attracted by BIM software for MEP engineering system design. Both the visitors and Omnix staff stated that these products are the best at representing the Middle East market’s needs. AGA CAD spokesman Jokubas Vaisvila tried to show all the possible solutions, including the Insert Elements, which was perhaps the most multifaceted and appropriate BIM solution for all project participants. By the way, this product received the most interest of not only engineering system designers, but architects and other designers as well.
Another product that attracted visitors’ attention: Cut Opening. Engineering system designers and constructors were interested by its possibilities. We are pleased that several exhibitors that were already using Cut Opening came to the AGA CAD stand and shared their experience: clients said that Cut Opening saves them a lot of valuable time.
Architects were mostly interested in tools increasing documentation productivity and a powerful library browsing product – Smart Browser Manage. Unlike Autodesk University conference in Las Vegas, the Middle East market’s designers were least interested in tools for structural engineers, however our team members have interacted with the constructors too.
Want to know why we like to participate in events where you can directly interact with end product users? That’s because meeting face to face grants an opportunity for easier identification of client needs. For example, in the mentioned event, a structural engineer proposed improvements to facilitate his work. Developing our products we will try to take into account his request as well as other conference visitor’s insights. Because we – AGA CAD team, strive to create products that best meet the needs of designers working in various markets.
