The most recent version of Smart Documentation has several improvements that are made to enhance your workflow in Autodesk® Revit®.
Among the new features is the capability to set up smart tagging configurations that you can run in active models as well as linked files; this update addresses the challenge of slow project annotation when models are linked.
Also of note is the ability to better control which families are included when creating or updating an assembly. Specifically, all hosted and nested elements no longer have to be automatically included; you can choose what to include.
Along with those updates, there’s an option to make assemblies that were created outside our application “smart” – that is, existing views and sheets can be preserved, and Smart Documentation will add new ones based on the configurations you set.
Read more about the above enhancements and more at the full blog post. Current users, be sure you have downloaded this update via the ARKANCE Dock.
One of our free tools brings a new function to the table for Autodesk® Revit® users.
Smart Select Free has a ‘Select & Hide’ button that allows for more advanced filtering of elements in view. Here’s what the new UI looks like:
‘Select & Hide’ lets you isolate specific elements in view, so you can focus more easily when navigating complex architectural designs or refining intricate models. In the ‘Select & Hide’ window, simply select the Revit elements that you want to hide.

New features in ARKANCE’s Be.Smart T4I add-on are geared to help you achieve higher efficiency when working in Autodesk® Inventor®.
Notable enhancements in the set of Tools for Inventor (T4I):
Automatically count the number of bends in sheet metal.
Format the values displayed in custom iProperties dialogue windows values as needed (i.e. no more bothersome string of digits after the decimal point).
The Quick Command Search tool lets you access search and execute commands directly from your cursor’s position in Inventor. Plus, you can pin commands to the search command window.
Measure the time you spend working on your projects via the new Time Tracker tool.

ARKANCE has unveiled the latest updates to its Be.Smart Wood and Metal Framing add-ins for Autodesk® Revit®. These enhancements offer architects and builders increased flexibility and agility when modifying frames, along with advanced sheathing and paneling capabilities.
Key updates include the ability to save opening configurations, which provides a streamlined workflow, as well as the option to modify multiple openings. With the new update, users can now copy sheathing and paneling layers across all identical walls, floors, and roofs, making building design smoother and more effective – especially for large-scale projects.
ARKANCE has also introduced variable configurations for sheathing and paneling, allowing professionals to set custom configurations for each wall, floor, or roof layer. This update provides a huge boost to flexibility and freedom in design.
The company has also made it easier to handle wall connections, by allowing users to predefine different configurations for specific wall types, which enhances flexibility and adaptability.
If you’d like to get your hands on these cutting-edge tools, ARKANCE offers free trials. Check out the full blog post for an in-depth look at all the new features and improvements.
ARKANCE’s latest release of Be.Smart T4I (Tools for Autodesk® Inventor®) holds exciting new features and fixes for engineers and designers.
The most notable update is the revised ribbon icon layout that aims to simplify navigation among various T4I commands, offering a clean, efficient interface. The Compact layout is now standard, with the Classic layout still available to those who prefer it.
The best part? Swapping between these layouts is as simple as clicking the “Layout” command. Furthermore, an experimental “InventorControlled” mode has been introduced for those who seek a more personalized workspace.
But the upgrades don’t stop there. Feedback can now be shared directly within the Inventor environment, making it easier for users to report bugs and suggest improvements. The T4I team has also focused on enhancing the software’s performance by fixing bugs and improving functionality.
With its innovative features, T4I promises to boost your productivity and streamline your design process in Autodesk Inventor. Explore these new capabilities and see how they can transform your workflow by taking a free trial.
The latest update for ARKANCE’s Be.Smart Precast Concrete software for Autodesk® Revit® has been released.
The software update further automates reinforcement placement in walls, beams, and columns, making rebar modeling faster and easier.
The Wall Reinforcement tool has multiple new features including a partial update option which allows users to update specific elements without impacting the entire model and new T-connection options. Beam and Column Reinforcement tools have also seen improvements with an option to change the hook position by face for straight bars with hooks and an additional option to extend stirrups to sides. These enhancements provide professionals with increased design capability and project efficiency.
