Preconstruction with Stiles LLC helps clients ensure, through consulting and 3D-modeling, that their building projects are functionally viable and that they get a reliable cost estimate and schedule.

 

The company was doing its metal-framing work for walls and floors manually in Autodesk® Revit®. Output had to be integrated with BIM models from other trades for checks and coordination in Navisworks® project review software.

Preconstruction with Stiles is a U.S. provider of BIM and as-built data services with special expertise in metal framing. The company works on public infrastructure (hospitals, airports, schools) and large commercial projects (retail, hotels, residential).

“We do pre-detailing of light gauge metal studs to provide strong constructability tactics, dialogue, review of documents, and analysis,” says Bobby Stiles, the company’s President. “I preferred working straight out of Revit over the hard-to-use and very costly add-ons I’d tried.” But that approach was time-consuming and ultimately unsatisfactory. So, Stiles continued searching for a more user-friendly and reasonably-priced solution.
