AGACAD team just released a new version of BIM solution Smart Assemblies. On the request of current Smart Assemblies users, recently we have added additional commands to make our software even more flexible.
In this blog we want to introduce three new commands – Modify SDC by Instance, Update by DC, Save SDC from Assembly.
Modify SDC by Instance
This command allows changing configuration for instance assembly. You can change everything that is inside the configuration window for selected assembly – add views, change templates, dimensioning rules, etc. After you change these individual configurations, assembly will be updated according to the changes you made, and in the SDC parameter you will see that name of configuration is changed by adding prefix – Instance_:
Save SDC from Assembly
This command allows user to save Smart Assemblies Configuration of selected Assembly to his computer. It‘s a good way to retrieve configuration that was used in Smart Assembly if you don‘t have it, you lost it, or if the file is from your colleague, etc.
Update by DC
This command is related to Modify SDC by Instance. If you applied instance configuration, but you want to get back to main configuration, which was used before individual modifications – Update by DC is your option. If you have instance configuration applied on assembly and you intend to use simple Update Assemblies command, this will update according to Instance configuration.
That is a short description of new features, but if you have questions or you have any comments or feedback on these or Smart Assemblies, let us know and we will do our best to develop great tools to make them work for you.
Enjoy!
