AGACAD: A Dynamic Presence Coming to BILT North America 2017

Events
June 30, 2017

We´ll be in Toronto for this big event Aug. 3-5. Visit AGACAD (booth #25) and hear our own MEP pro Jokubas Vaisvila speak about builder’s work (openings and holes for services)

AGACAD is gearing up for the BILT North America Conference to be held in Toronto, Canada at the Westin Harbour Castle this summer from August 3-5. And our very own MEP pro Jokubas Vaisvila will be presenting!

Jokubas will give a presentation about builder’s work, specifically as it relates to making openings and holes for MEP services. Sharing what he knows about modelling builder’s work in Revit, he will demonstrate Dynamo and Revit add-in workflows to make openings in architectural or structural elements. His goal? To make attendees’ lives easier.

During the course of Jokūbas’ presentation, entitled “Builder’s Work – Holes for MEP,” attendees can expect to learn how to:

  • make holes around MEP line-based objects automatically,
  • adopt their standards for services’ holes, and
  • prepare builder’s work drawings.

If you have the good fortune of participating in BILT NA 2017, track down Jokūbas (Jacob), and say “Labas!” It’ll be a great surprise for him to hear someone say “hi” in Lithuanian in Toronto!

What is BILT?

It’s basically a gathering of BIM experts coming from around the world to learn from each other. Although the conference has undergone a name-change – formerly known as the Revit Technology Conference (RTC) – it is drawing Revit professionals (like us!) and, at the same time, seeking to attract users of other technologies. The BILT Conference serves to reach out to a wider community of professionals who work at various stages along the whole spectrum of a building’s lifecycle. As a dual-purpose acronym, “BILT” stands for “Buildings Infrastructure Lifecycle, supported by Technology” and also “Building and bringing Industry Leadership Together.”
