The need for an International Classification System is a topic that Donatas has written about over at his BIMAXON blog.
What is BIMAXON, you ask? It’s a new-generation BIM platform that gives real-time access to data from the sources being used, whether Archicad, IFC, Navisworks, Revit, Tekla, etc.). One of its primary purposes is reducing the information delivered to BIM actors to only what’s necessary – no more, no less. And of course making sure they receive it at the right time in the building life-cycle. That means eliminating unnecessary information that clogs up our heads and IT systems. Which translates into increased efficiency and accuracy.
Another use of BIMAXON is to push data to various devices (phone, tablet, HoloLens, etc.), opening up the whole realm of AR/VR. The benefits BIMAXON will bring to the AEC industry are myriad from design through construction to facility management.
